About Robert Lee

Robert Lee is located in West Texas, and it is the County Seat for Coke County with a population of 1,071. City Hall is located right in the center of town at 6 E 7th street, right across from the Coke County Court House and the Robert Lee State Bank.

Robert Lee is known as the home of the Rabbit Twisters and the Playground of West Texas for the many activities we are able to provide to travelers. Mountain Creek Golf Course is a 9-hole public golf course that host many tournaments for locals and visitors alike. Another great attraction is Lake E.V. Spence which is located upstream to the Colorado River. This grand lake provides great fishing opportunities, camping locations, nature trails and lets family enjoy their time on the water. Robert Lee is also home to the Red Canyon Gun and Archery Club which is located just outside of town. They provide great practice fields and they even hold tournaments for the local 4-H Shooting Sports Team.

The City of Robert Lee is home to the infamous Steers and Lady Steers. With priding ourselves with our 1A school, Robert Lee Independent School provides an excellent education system for students K-12, along with providing the students with an amazing support system in every extracurricular activity the students chose to participate in.

Lastly, Robert Lee has our local Volunteer Fire Department who handle every situation with such ease. The West Coke County EMS always make sure the citizens of Robert Lee are in safe hands. The local Sheriff’s department pride themselves with keeping our great city safe.
